I started Kiwi Cat Collars in 2015 when I was a student and a new mum who was home all day with the baby. I was dismayed by the amount of birds and skinks my cat was catching. I went down a rabbit hole of scientific papers trying to work out how I could do better to keep the wildlife in my backyard safe. In 2015 I couldn't find any sort of "anti-predation" cat collar cover in New Zealand, so my mother-in-law and I designed our own. I still sew these in our home today, the kids will be able to do it soon enough! The feedback and the positive reviews on their efficacy keeps me going. I stand by my commitment to get every single outdoor cat in New Zealand to wear a Kiwi Cat Collar cover and a bell. Our low tech toys are suitable for ages 3+.
Clothing
Our garments for children are light weight and made to stretch. Arianley dresses are made from a cotton spandex jersey knit.
Kiwi Cat Collar Covers / Breakaway Collars
Kiwi Cat Collar covers are made from weather resistant canvas. Breakaway collars are made from nylon with plastic quick release clips.
Care Instructions
We strongly recommend a delicate wash cycle for all garmets and Kiwi Cat Collar Covers. Never bleach or tumble dry.
Toys and games can be wiped down with a wet cloth and mild detergent.

We try to get our products made in New Zealand where possible. If item isn't specified as NZ made, then it was responsibly manufactured overseas. If you see a product you think can be made in NZ that isn't, send an email to erin@thenzfamilyshop.com with more details. We are always looking for affordable NZ made products.

Returns
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
